Quick Start Guide
From idea to image in minutes
PromptAnvil has four main tools that work together. You can use them independently or chain them into a complete creative pipeline:
1Generator — Create Prompts
The Generator is your starting point. It has three modes to match your experience level:
⚡ Quick Mode
The fastest way to get started. Choose between AI-powered text expansion (type your idea, max 100 chars) or category-based generation (pick up to 3 categories + a style).
🎛️ Simple Mode
Use the pre-loaded configuration with categories, templates, and weighted entries. Toggle categories, adjust weights, and generate prompts with full control over the building blocks.
🧪 Advanced Mode
Full control: edit templates directly, set logic rules (SET, BOOST, EXCLUDE, FILTER), configure tag linking, and fine-tune every weight. For power users who want maximum precision.
💡 Tip: All three modes share the same configuration. You can start in Quick Mode and switch to Advanced Mode anytime — your data carries over seamlessly.
2Refiner — Polish & Transform
Take any prompt — from the Generator, from your clipboard, or written from scratch — and refine it with AI. The Refiner uses LLM-powered transformation to enhance your prompts.
Pro tip: After refining, click the "Send to Imagine" button to visualize the refined prompt instantly — no copy-paste needed.
3Imagine — Generate Images
Turn your prompts into actual images with the Imagine page. Choose from 6 AI models, set dimensions, and generate images right inside PromptAnvil.
Flow: Generator → Refiner → Imagine. Prompts flow between these tools automatically via "Send to" buttons. You can also type or paste any prompt directly into any tool.
⚙Studio — Build Reusable Configs
Studio is a standalone workspace where you build, save, and share prompt configurations from scratch. Unlike the Generator (which loads a pre-built config), Studio starts with a blank canvas.
What you can do in Studio:
- ✓Create categories, keys, templates, and entries from scratch
- ✓Set weights, logic rules, and tag linking for precise control
- ✓Use the AI Configurator to auto-generate a full config from a topic
- ✓Save configs locally and export / import as JSON
- ✓Publish to the Pack Hub for the community to use
📦 Prompt Packs
Every configuration you create in Studio can be published as a Prompt Pack. Packs are shareable, ready-to-use prompt configurations that the community can browse and use:
- •Browse community packs in the Pack Hub — filter by tag, category, or popularity
- •Use packs directly on the Packs page — pick a pack, set count, and generate instantly
- •Import any pack into Studio with "Open in Studio" to customize it as your own
- •Generate from packs programmatically via the REST API
💡 Tip: You can also import hub packs into Studio to customize them, or use the "Open in Studio" button from any pack page.
